Meet the WyndSong Flute Quartet members:

Linn Kezer

Piccolo, G Flute, Eb Flute, C Flute, Alto Flute, and Bass Flute

Linn began her music career in the U.S. Army Band program with the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) Band at Fort Carson, CO. She studied voice at Armstrong State College in Savannah, GA. Linn performs vocally and on flute throughout Northern Virginia. She is a long-time member of the Woodbridge Flute Choir. She has studied with Rebecca Jeffreys and has performed in masterclasses for Per Oien, Rebecca Jeffreys, Alexa Still, and Chris Potter.  She plays flutes and sings with Stringer Folk; an Irish, Canadian, and American folk group. She also plays flute in Las Canarias, a flute and guitar duo. She is active in the music program at her church and has sung the National Anthem for the Potomac Cannons and the George Mason Patriots.  If she manages to find any spare time, she likes to make sock monkeys for her three grandchildren.

Jim Waterman

Piccolo, C Flute, and Alto Flute

Jim started to learn to play the flute when he was 12 years old, and took a 20 year break from playing upon graduation from high school. He returned to private lessons as a student of Toby Rotman about 10 years ago. Jim was one of the early members of the Wodbridge Flute Choir back in the days when it consisted of about 10 players. In Jim's day job he is a research physicist with the Naval Research Laboratory, where his work is related to infrared sensing. In addition to other less formal musical endeavors, Jim also enjoys long distance running and gourmet eating.

Andrea Giamberardino

Piccolo, C Flute, and Alto Flute

Andrea is originally from Port Jefferson, NY.  She began playing the flute in the fourth grade. After extensive studies under Harold Bennett and Allison Hubbard, she continued her studies with Jeffrey Weissman at Carnegie Hall. Throughout high school, she was selected in consecutive All-District and All-County Bands and also played in several other bands and orchestras, including the Selden Fire Department Marching Band and the Camerata Chamber Orchestra. She continued her studies at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY.  She is a member of the Woodbridge Flute Choir.

Rebecca Hartong

Piccolo and C Flute

Rebecca began playing flute the summer before she entered 5th grade. As a high school student, she earned both a chair in the Minnesota All-State Orchestra and the first flute chair in the Minnesota All-State Band. For some crazy reason, she then took a 27-year break from playing. Having finally come to her senses, Rebecca began playing seriously again in 2003. Since then she has performed in masterclasses for Tadeu Coelho and Thomas Robertello. She is a performing member of the Friday Morning Music Club, and is also a member of the Washington Flute Society and the National Flute Association. When not playing with Wyndsong, she performs with the Woodbridge Flute Choir, the North Lake Woodwind Quintet, and the Flutonic flute ensemble.
